H.E. the PUIC Secretary General Prof. Dr. Mahmud Erol KILIC sent a message of congratulation to H.E. Mr. Martin Chungong, Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) on the occasion of the latter’s 125th anniversary which coincides with the 30th of June every year.

Prof. KILIC characterized the IPU as a true edifice of democracy, and that it has, since its inception, addressed issues of security, peace and the building of sound democracy.
His Excellency stated that the PUIC acknowledges, with appreciation, the IPU’s role in enhancing the ability of parliaments in developing democracy and resolving world problems through dialogue and peaceful means.
