H.E. Dr. Emrullah Isler, Head of the Delegation of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to The PUIC, and Chairman of the Standing PUIC Committee on Palestine, urged the PUIC Parliamentarians to act in concert to show their solidarity with the Palestinian people.
In his Statement Dr. Isler stressed that Israel is continuing its violation of a fundamental right i.e. Freedom of worship. He stated that fanatic Jews carry out acts of aggression against Muslims inside Masjid Al-Aqsa in collaboration with the Israeli forces.
The Statement also affirmed that Israel is proceeding with its excavations beneath Al-Aqsa Mosque. At the same time it is implementing settlement plans in order to finalize judaization of the Holy City.
Dr. Isler maintained that continuation of settlement operations as well as acts of suppression practiced by the Israeli occupation authorities is apt to sabotage peace talks between Palestine and Israel.
