The PUIC Secretary General H.E. Prof. Mahmud Erol KILIC has carried out important contacts aimed at condemning the Israeli practices against Palestinians and to ensure immediate release of the Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council and a number of Council members as well as other Palestinian Political personalities who are detained by Israeli authorities.
Contacts involved addressing the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and informing it about the provisions of the resolutions adopted by the 7th Session of the PUIC Conference in this regard, together with the Union’s demand in its Final Communique to the IPU to freeze membership of Israel.
The PUIC Secretary General also dispatched a Note to all the august Member Parliaments including three enclosures: Statement issued by the Secretary General condemning Israeli authorities following the unjust sentencing by an Israeli Court against Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Duwaik; the message sent by the Secretary General to the IPU; and the reply message to the PUIC Secretary General from the IPU Secretary General in response to the former’s message in this regard.
