PUIC Secretary General Prof. Mahmud Erol KILIC received a kind invitation from the Arab League Secretary General H.E. Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi to attend the opening session of the 136th Ordinary Session of the Arab League Council at Ministerial Level held in Cairo on 13/9/2011. Due to previous engagements the PUIC Secretary General delegated H.E. Ambassador Siddiq Yousif Abu Agla, Director of the Cabinet of the Secretary General to represent the Union at the opening session.
The meeting was convened at the level of Arab Foreign Ministers and the Presence of H.E. Turkish Prime Minister Mr. Reccep Tayep Erdogan who addressed the meeting. The Session was chaired by the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar H.E. Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassem who took over the chairmanship from his predecessor H.E. Mr. Yousif Bin Alawi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sultanate of Oman and the attendance of the Arab League Secretary General Dr. Nabil Al Arabi.
Ambassador Abu Agla met with a number of Arab Foreign Ministers and Heads of Delegations.
