The scene looked catastrophic after the evacuation of Kamal Adwan Hospital and its suspension following its burning and the arrest of its staff, as well as targeting the remaining hospitals in Gaza City in the aftermath of the bombing of Al-Wafa Hospital in central Gaza and Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, the destruction of the equipment and contents of the Indonesian hospital, and the attack on Al-Awda Hospital, killing five journalists, during the period documented by the Media Observatory of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for Israel's crimes against Palestinians, between 24 and 30 December 2024. (225) martyrs fell in (20) massacres, and (666) others were injured. The total number of martyrs since October 7, 2023, until December 29, 2024, went up to (46,349) while (114,639) people were injured.
Last week also saw warnings that the fate of 300 Palestinian families was unknown in Beit Hanoun, which became the next target of the occupation forces' missiles after Jabalia and Beit Lahiya.
The American New York Times revealed that the occupation forces allowed their mid-ranking members to kill civilians freely in their aggression against the Gaza Strip. This explains the almost constant numbers of martyrs, confirming that the occupation army was intentionally targeting the same toll daily. The Observatory noted that the crimes committed by the occupation forces in the Gaza Strip or the West Bank did not happen by accident, but were always similar as they were repeated on the same day in more than one city.
In the same context, the occupation forces demolished 6 houses in occupied Al-Quds, Alkhaleel, Qalqilya, and Tulkarem, in addition to a livestock manor, a shop and a poultry farm in Al-Quds, a 2,000-square-meter barn in Qalqilya, shops and a warehouse in Tulkarem, a tourist resort and barns in Bethlehem, as well as storming the camp of Tulkarem and Nur Shams in the city of Tulkarem, where they blew up and burned 3 houses, a warehouse, and electricity networks. A barn was also bulldozed to store and sell agricultural fertilizers in Jenin. The occupation forces bulldozed the entrance to the Peace Mosque in Tulkarem camp, and confiscated a bulldozer and an agricultural tractor in Nablus and Tubas.
In occupied Al-Quds, the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque has witnessed daily incursions during the past seven days, the most prominent of which was the storming of the extremist Israeli Minister of Security Itamar Ben Gvir leading a number of extremist settlers. The occupation authorities in the Old City of Al-Quds installed a huge candlestick in Al-Buraq Square, and another candlestick on the building of the Arab Heritage Center to appear clearly from the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, within the policy of changing the Islamic identity of the city. In Al-Khaleel, the director of the administration of the Ibrahimi Mosque was assaulted by the occupation forces.
During the aforementioned period, the occupation forces killed (15) and arrested (151) Palestinians in various villages and cities of the West Bank and occupied Al-Quds.
On the other hand, the number of settler attacks on the villages of the West Bank and occupied Al-Quds reached (25) attacks in one week, during which settlers cut tree branches and stole goods from a fuel station in Nablus. They also stormed the archaeological areas in Jericho, placed symbols, and established Talmudic rituals there. They also stormed the Khalil al-Lawz area, seizing 6 tents and a greenhouse with solar panels and equipment.
During the period under review, there were many attacks on children and adolescents in the cities and villages of the West Bank and occupied Al—Quds, where a settler ran over two children, in addition to the arrest of two children. Another child was killed in an Israeli shelling on the town of Tammun. The occupation forces arrested three children in the town of Sinjil and Nablus.
The Observatory recorded five settlement activities during which settlers plowed Palestinian land in the village of Khalil al-Lawz and the area of Ayn Ghazal with the aim of seizing it. They also built a settlement outpost in the village of Bardala and another in the town of Auja and set up a trellis in the town of Yatta.
Over the past seven days, the Observatory has documented (1659) different crimes committed by the occupation army and settlers in various cities and villages of the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and occupied Al-Quds.
