Following Netanyahu's declaration of sovereignty over the Jordan Valley, the northern Dead Sea and a number of settlements in occupied Palestine, the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States, H.E. Mr. Mouhamed Khouraichi NIASS expressed his condemnation of these statements, which constitute a flagrant violation of international resolutions and a new challenge to the international community by this usurping entity.

The Secretary General stressed the need to stand up to this declaration and mobilize the international community to obligate Israel to respect the legitimacy and restore the Palestinian people full rights to establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

He called on the PUIC Members to condemn these remarks, reject the provocative declaration and commit the Zionist entity to retreat from these invalid measures.
