TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Majlis Vice-Speaker Mohammad-Hassan Aboutorabi-Fard on Thursday said that world parliaments, particularly those of the Arab and Muslim states, can play a key role in support for the defenseless people of Gaza.
Aboutorabi-Fard, who is currently in Lebanon to attend a special meeting of Arab parliaments on Gaza, made the remarks while talking to IRNA reporter in Beirut.
He urged the world parliaments to introduce the Zionist regime as a war criminal to the International Criminal Court.
The Iranian MP also called on the world parliaments to end their economic and political relations with the Zionist regime and its allies.
World parliaments can help open the Rafah crossing to send humanitarian aid to Gaza and transfer the wounded out of the region, Aboutorabi-Fard added.
Aboutorabi-Fard is due to hold talks with parliament speakers of several countries including Syria, Jordan and Sudan on regional developments.
