In response to an invitation by PABSEC International Secretariat, the PUIC Secretary General Prof. Mahmud Erol KILIC participated, as an Observer, in the proceedings of the 37th Plenary Session of PABSEC General Assembly, held on 1-2 July 2011 in Kyiv, Ukraine.
In his speech at the meeting Prof. KILIC underlined the formidable challenges facing the world, the most important of which are environmental changes. He also stressed consolidation of security and peace among the nations of the world. He stated that the PUIC has energized the mechanisms of joint action between governments and parliaments.
It is worth mentioning that the agenda items of this PABSEC meeting included “Legislative support of the Transition to Green Economy”; and Observance of Sanitation Standards of WHO in PABSEC Members States.
