PUIC Secretary General Welcomes the Cessation of Israeli Aggression on Lebanon

H.E. Mr. Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, the Secretary General of the PUIC, welcomed the cessation of the Zionist aggression on Lebanon, which entered into force on Wednesday, 27 November 2024, at dawn, following an agreement between Hezbollah and Israel.

His Excellency also welcomed with great optimism the return of displaced persons from southern Lebanon to their regions, villages and towns, and hoped that the Zionist enemy would also submit to a ceasefire deal in Gaza, the city in which the occupying entity has been committing genocide for more than a year, resulting in the martyrdom of more than 45,000 people and the wounding of more than 150,000 others, in addition to the destruction of nearly 95% of Gaza's houses.

The Secretary General called on the Islamic Ummah to stand with the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples in their legitimate struggle against the usurping Israeli enemy.

H.E also called on the international community to assume its responsibilities towards the Palestinian people who have been under occupation for more than 75 years, a situation that threatens security and stability in the world given the arrogance and aggression of the Zionists.
