The talks covered issues of common concern.

The Speaker of the Gambian Parliament expressed readiness to develop relations of cooperation with the PUIC in all fields of interest to both institutions.

H.E. Mr. Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass offered to H.E. Mr. Fabakary sincere congratulations on the occasion of the latter’s election as Speaker of the Parliament of Gambia following the past legislative elections. He also wished him and the new members of Parliament success in their tasks.

His Excellency talked with the Gambian Speaker about the PUIC activities, especially in the wake of the Covid pandemic which interrupted all activities across the world.

He affirmed to him the readiness for close cooperation in whatever realizes PUIC activities which serve the Islamic Ummah.

H.E. the Secretary General expressed thanks to H.E. the Gambian Speaker for the Parliament and its delegation which regularly attends PUIC activities.

H.E. the PUIC Secretary General began a visit to the State of Gambia on 16 June 2022 to discuss PUIC relations with the Gambian Parliament. It is known that the Parliament of Gambia is currently a member of the PUIC Executive as part of the African Group members.
