H.E. the PUIC Secretary General Prof. Mahmud Erol KILIC visited the Shura Council of Saudi Arabia on 1^st February 2009, where he was received by H.E. Sheikh Dr. Salih Bin Abdullah Bin Homaid, Speaker of the esteemed Council.

H.E. the PUIC Secretary General Prof. Mahmud Erol KILIC visited the Shura Council of Saudi Arabia on 1st February 2009, where he was received by H.E. Sheikh Dr. Salih Bin Abdullah Bin Homaid, Speaker of the esteemed Council.
H.E. The Speaker congratulated H.E. the PUIC Secretary General on the success of  the Union’s meeting in Istanbul, on 14th January 2009, in support of  Palestine against the Israeli aggression and war crimes in Gaza Strip. He also commended the PUIC General Secretariat for the excellent preparations made for the meeting.
H.E. the Speaker highlighted the role of parliamentarians in serving the causes of the Ummah, as well as the role of the PUIC in crystallizing ideas. He also spoke about the importance of the positive role which may be assumed by media in deploying efforts to promote the interests of the Nation.
H.E. The PUIC Secretary General reviewed the future plans aimed at energizing the performance and development of the Union. He also addressed the Istanbul meeting and its important resolutions as well as the efforts exerted to convene a meeting for implementing them prior, and during the PUIC Session in Niamey, Niger, in mid February 2009.
H.E. the Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council praised the PUIC plans and expressed his support and backing for putting them into practice.
