PUIC Secretary General Strongly Condemns Israeli Aggression on Global Sumud Flotilla Bound for Gaza

On the night of Thursday 30 April 2026, Israeli occupation forces attacked the Sumud Flotilla, which seeks to raise global awareness of the genocide committed against the steadfast people of Gaza at the hands of criminal Zionists.

Considered the largest civilian solidarity voyage to break the siege on Gaza, the flotilla is set to bring together around 1000 volunteers, activists, and human rights defenders from more than 44 countries around the world, travelling on board nearly 100 equipped vessels.

The Secretary General of the PUIC, His Excellency Mr Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, strongly condemns the Israeli assault on the global Sumud Flotilla heading for Gaza, regarding it as yet another crime to be added to the list of ongoing crimes of the Zionist occupation, as well as a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and UN resolutions.

The PUIC Secretary General also calls upon the international community to protect the participants in this flotilla until it achieves its objectives.
Furthermore, he notes that the Zionist enemy is continuing its mass extermination and brutal aggression against the people of Gaza and the West Bank.
He also calls upon the Islamic Ummah to stand by the struggling Palestinian people until they liberate Palestine and establish their independent State with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
