PUIC Secretary General Strongly Condemns Closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Displacement of Palestinian Families in Occupied Al-Quds

For more than a month, the Zionist occupation forces have continued their closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque and prevented worshippers from accessing it. On 28 March 2026, they seized 15 houses in the town of Silwan in occupied Al-Quds and forcibly displaced Palestinian families from their homes in preparation for their handover to settler organisations.

The Secretary General of the PUIC, His Excellency Mr Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, strongly condemns the closure of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the restrictions imposed on Muslims, particularly during the blessed month of Ramadan, as well as the occupation’s attempts to impose a new temporal division between Muslims and Jews.

H.E calls upon the Islamic Ummah to save the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the first of the two Qiblas and the third of the Two Holy Mosques, from the Zionist settlement activity that threatens it.

His Excellency also strongly condemns the seizure of Palestinian houses in the city of Al-Quds and the displacement of their inhabitants as an attempt to impose the alleged Israeli sovereignty over Al-Quds and the occupied West Bank in general, which is null and void and rejected under the provisions of international law and UN resolutions.
