PUIC Secretary General Strongly Condemns Terrorist Attacks on Niger

Niger has been hit by horrific terrorist attacks in recent days, resulting in a large number of deaths and injuries. These attacks took place in the border triangle with Mali and Burkina Faso.

The most recent of these attacks took place last Friday, during the holy month of Ramadan, in the village of Fambita, Tera municipality.

The Secretary General of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member states, H.E. Mr Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, strongly condemns these attacks, which are against the teachings of Allah and His Shariah, as they violate the sanctity of this great month by deliberately killing believers who were performing Fridays prayers.

H.E. extends his sincere condolences to the Government and people of Niger and to the families of the victims, praying to Allah Almighty to shower the dead with His mercy and forgiveness and expedite the recovery of the wounded, as well as to protect Niger and the African Sahel countries from terrorism and sedition, both visible and invisible, and to bless their peoples with stability and peace.
