PUIC President Addresses a Message to all Speakers of the Member Parliaments on the Devastating War of the Zionist Enemy against Gaza and Palestine

His Excellency Mr. Ibrahim Boughali, the Speaker of the People's National Assembly of Algeria, and the current sessional President of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC), has addressed a message to all the Speakers of the member parliaments of the Union, in which he appealed to all voices of conscience in the Islamic nation to take urgent action to reinstate the humanitarian truce in Gaza and permanently cease fire, thus stabilising the situation and putting an end to the crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing committed against our Palestinian brothers.

He stated that the catastrophic and tragic war waged by the Zionist occupation forces on the Gaza Strip and Palestine since 7 October 2023 is considered a clear and outright war crime. He also referred in his message to the Webinar Meeting organised by the People's National Assembly of Algeria, in its capacity as President of the PUIC, on 16 October 2023. The webinar meeting was held at the level of the Speakers of PUIC member parliaments and dealt with the dangerous situation in the Palestinian territories.

His Excellency Mr. Ibrahim Boughali appealed to the Speakers of Member Parliaments to work at the level of their respective parliaments to unequivocally condemn the crimes of the Zionist occupation and to affirm that it is the occupation and its ongoing crimes and its disregard for the rights of the Palestinian people that are responsible for the events in Gaza.

At the end of his message, the PUIC President urged the Speakers of member parliaments to take urgent action within the various regional and international bodies, to put an end to the double standards policy and to advocate justice and objectivity in dealing with the situation in Palestine.
