H.E. the Secretary General, affirmed on this occasion, the importance of Arab solidarity, which the Conference made it its motto. He said that our Islamic Ummah is in need of taking inspiration from our true Muslim religion to adhere the values of solidarity, brotherhood and unity.

He referred to the firm relation between the PUIC and the Inter- Arab Parliamentary Union, as both of them are observers in each other’s organization, and coordinate their stances at international fora.

On the sidelines of the Conference, H.E. the Secretary General met with a number of heads of participating delegation and discussed with them horizons of cooperation between the PUIC and their respective organizations.
