So far two official letters were received by the PUIC Secretariat calling on an Emergency Executive Meeting of PUIC. First from the Turkish Parliament and later from the Saudi Parliament. After evaluations between both Speakers and Secretary General of the PUIC, it was convened that an Extra-Ordinary open-ended Meeting of PUIC Executive Committee Speakers take place in Istanbul on Wednesday 14th January 2009 upon the invitation of the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, H.E. Koksal TOPTAN concerning the Gaza Crisis.
