His Excellency stressed the necessity of immediate cessation of aggression. He also warned against the dangers of stopping the already faltering negotiations on the issues of the final status according to the two- state-solution. This is because the absence of negotiations will open the door to the military solution and the furtherance of violence and escalation.
He also stressed that the tragic situation in Gaza Strip necessitates quick action in order to remove the effects of aggression and lessen the damages and suffering of our Palestinian people. We must exercise pressure in order to deliver the humanitarian assistance and medical supplies. We must treat the wounded as a matter of urgency by sending humanitarian and medical missions to Gaza from Arab and peace-loving states. We must exercise pressure for achieving a firm and quick cease-fire which observes the interests of the Palestinian party to ensure success and sustainability.
