H.E. Professor Mahmud Erol KILIC, PUIC Secretary General stated that national Parliaments and their continental and regional organizations are playing a growing role in wider fields that include cleaning political atmospheres and developing bilateral and multilateral economic and cultural relations.
Mr. KILIC was speaking at an International Forum on National, Continental and Regional Parliaments and their Role in strengthening Ties and Cooperation Horizons, held in Algiers, capital of Algeria, on 25-26 January 2011.
He stated further that national Parliaments have made significant progress in promoting dialogue among civilizations and helped in narrowing the gap between various cultures.
Professor KILIC stressed that the wider geographical spread of the PUIC renders it more qualified to widen the area of international cooperation in all fields.
