The Consultative Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia strongly denounced the massacre perpetrated by the Israeli forces against the passengers of the Freedom Flotilla which was heading for Gaza Strip.

 In a statement the Council described the aggression as serious and is apt to heighten the conflict in the region. Furthermore, the Israeli action runs counter to international norms.

The Saudi Council calls on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and adopt all the necessary measures to protect the Palestinian people and lift the blockade which is imposed on Gaza Strip.
