The People’s Assembly of the Syrian Arab Republic invited the PUIC Member Parliaments to hold an extraordinary Conference in Damascus, 30 June 2010, under the slogan “Lifting the Unjust Blockade Off Gaza”

In a message addressed by H.E. Dr. Mahmud Al Abrash, Speaker of the People’s Assembly of Syria, to Professor Mahmud Erol KILIC, PUIC Secretary General, he stated that the Assembly is of the view that this conference should be convened at the level of Parliament Speakers, explaining that this would contribute to stressing the achievement of the conference objectives. The message also mentioned that the Syrian People’s Assembly will give hospitality to the parliament Speaker plus one person by providing full accommodation as well as local transportation.
