On the sidelines of the Summit, H.E. the Secretary General held several meetings with the participating delegations and reviewed with them their relations with the PUIC and the issues currently facing the Islamic Ummah, especially the vicious war waged by the Zionist entity against the Gaza Strip and its inhabitants who have been subjected to genocide for seven months.

The Islamic Summit, which was held under the theme: "ENHANCING UNITY AND SOLIDARITY THROUGH DIALOGUE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT", underlined the concerted efforts of Islamic countries to confront the humanitarian catastrophe inflicted on the Gaza Strip and its people as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression. It also called upon the countries of the world to take action to stop the genocide committed by the occupation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
