Secretary General Calls for Supporting Relief Efforts in Pakistan

The State of Pakistan has been experiencing, for some time, strong floods, caused by Monsoon rains and the melting of glaciers in mountains in Northern Pakistan. About 33 million people have been affected by these floods which resulted in the death of 1314 peoples, and caused widespread dispersion of the population.

Roads, installations and buildings as well as many properties were damaged.

H.E. the PUIC Secretary General, Mr. Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, offered sincere condolences and consolation to the parliament, government and people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. 

His Excellency affirmed solidarity with Pakistan and called for extending support to the relief efforts which are carried out by the Pakistani authorities. He prayed to Almighty God to protect Pakistan against all evil.
