Ladies and Gentlemen.

The Islamic Ummah is living these days the joy of victory which the Palestinian people have achieved over the Zionist enemy after the heroic confronting of the aggression which targeted them. Muslims also lived during the past weeks amidst vehement rage and intense anger because of the desecration of Al Aqsa Mosque during the Holy Month of Ramadan on the hands of the ill-reputed Zionist gangs, and because also of the prevention of the believers from praying in the Noble Sanctuary by the Zionist occupation forces, as well as in the shadow of the genocidal war waged by Israel on the steadfast Gaza, and due to the aggressions launched against the Palestinian people which all amount to crimes against humanity.

The Zionist enemy, throughout more than seventy years of its occupation, has perpetrated horrific massacres and crimes, and launched aggressive wars. However in the past weeks it committed all these crimes at the same time, such as destroying homes on the heads of their legitimate owners, and forced evictions, and the desecration of Islamic sanctities, as well as murdering of innocent people, and waging war by using the most modern arms of death and destruction against a besieged people who possess only traditional means of self-defence.

In view of this situation, a Muslim, who views such aggressive acts in his house, wherever he may be, through visual information, can not but rise up for the victory of his steadfast brothers in usurped Palestine, and to mobilize in order to protect his sanctities in the city of Al Quds which embraces the Al Aqsa Mosque, First Qibla and Third of the Two Holy Mosques.

Excellencies,

Gentlemen,

The terrible aggression, taking place in the Palestinian arena, is a very serious matter, coupled with almost unprecedented rage and anger of the Islamic Ummah. Therefore, it is imperative on you to shoulder your responsibilities in the name of the Islamic Parliaments and to adopt resolutions that respond to the aspirations of Muslim peoples in terms of protecting the sanctities and supporting the perseverant Palestinian people.

PUIC Conferences have always requested provision of international protection to the Palestinian people from the barbaric practices of the Zionist occupation authorities, especially ethnic cleansing and the abhorrent racial segregation policy, killing, displacement and all kinds of aggression, carried out by an entity which flouts international agreements and violates the resolutions of the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly, and ignores the principles of human rights.

This international protection is only matched in importance by the extension of assistance to the Palestinian people to protect lives and defend sanctities which have now become abused by extremist Jews under the auspices of the Israeli occupation forces.

Also the international protection of the Palestinian people must go hand in hand with initiating accountability proceedings in international tribunals against the occupation authorities for their immense crimes and violations of the rules of the international law.

Ladies, Gentlemen,

This outrageous aggression has manifested once again, the bravery and steadfastness of the proud Palestinian people and their upholding to their homeland and their persistence in defending their rights with courage and heroism.

These people have a right on their Ummah to receive from it all kinds of support to continue their steadfastness on their land, including the rebuilding of what has been destroyed during this aggression in terms of the infrastructure, houses and facilities owned by the Palestinians, as well as extending to them all means which enhance their resistance to the occupation in order to recover their legitimate rights.

A deserved congratulation goes to the valiant Palestinian people for the victory they have achieved over the savage aggression. We hail these steadfast people whose youth in the occupied territories face the bullets of the enemy with bare chests, and have nothing in terms of the means of resistance except stones and rubber tires, while resistance movements are creating weapons which certainly do not match the weapons of the enemy, but they prove the resolve of the Palestinian resistance to steadfast until they regain all their rights “no right is lost if there is a claimant behind it.”

Ladies, Gentlemen,

Allow me to offer ample thanks and sincere gratitude to the Islamic Parliament of Iran, at the head of which is H.E. Dr. Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, for hosting this extraordinary meeting and inviting the PUIC Palestine Committee to convene in these critical circumstances in the history of the Islamic Ummah.

Allow me also to offer ample thanks to all the delegations who have responded to the call and have attended this meeting here with us in Tehran despite the circumstances of the pandemic and the difficulty of travel. This is only because they are convinced that the Palestinian cause necessitates, from the Islamic Ummah, all the sacrifices, because it is their central cause.

It is expected of the representatives of the Muslim peoples, through this meeting, to adopt resolutions that contribute to the enhancement of the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and which proceed from PUIC stances which it has undertaken in all its conferences, stressing that the Palestinian cause is the central cause of the Muslim Ummah, and that Al Quds, with Al Aqsa Mosque in its heart, is a red line which can not be tampered with.

And Al Aqsa Mosque is a trust on the neck of every Muslim, and supporting our brothers in Palestine is a religious duty for every one of us.

Undoubtedly, the one-man standing of the Islamic Ummah, and the resolve of the international community will realize the dream of the Palestinians and the Ummah of establishing the independent State of Palestine, with the city of Al Quds as its Capital.

Allah the Almighty says, “Oye who believe, if ye will help (the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and plant your feet firmly.”
